13 Days - Holy Land, Sinai, and Jordan

Day 1 : Departure to the Holy Land

Day 2 : Arrival to the Holy Land

Day 3 : The Galilee

240px-Sea of Galilee 2008With Bible in hand, cross the waters of the Sea of Galilee aboard a Kinnereth Sailing Company boat. Along the way, participate in a special on board worship service. Travel to Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee. Visit the synagogue which stands on the site where Jesus taught. Recall his teaching and preaching the gospel of the kingdom (Matt.4: 13, 23). At Kibbutz Nof Ginnosar, you’ll learn about the “Ancient Boat”, a rare example of the kind of boat in which Jesus would have sailed. Travel to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus preached to the people (Matt. 5-7). At Tabgha, the traditional location for the calling of the disciples and the feeding of the 5000, you’ll visit the Church of the Fish and the Loaves (Luke 9:10-17). You’ll also visit the Chapel of the Primacy where three times Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21). At the River Jordan you can remember your baptism in the Yardenit Baptismal Site.

Day 4: Tibirias, Nazareth, Megiddo and Caesarea-Back to Tibirias

Day 5: Through Jordan Valley to Bet Shaan –Jericho-Bethlehem- First View to Jerusalem

BethlehemChurch3Visit the ruins of Beit Shean which was continuously inhabited for 5000 years and was one of the Roman cities Jesus passed on his way from Galilee to Jerusalem .Travel to Jericho and visit the ruins of the ancient city, which was conquered by Joshua (Josh. 6: 1, 2, 20). From Jericho, you can see the traditional site of the Temptation of Jesus (Matt. 4: 1-11). Even today, the road from Jericho to Jerusalem twists for miles as it climbs from below sea level into the Judean mountains. Jesus traveled the nearby Roman road, the setting of His parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 30-36).. In Bethlehem, you’ll visit the cave revered as the place where Jesus was born (Matt. 1: 18 - 25; Luke 2: 1- 7). The church, which was constructed on the site, is the world’s oldest functioning church. Nearby you’ll view Shepherds’ Field where the Good News was first heard- Drive towards Jerusalem for first panoramic view..

Day 6: Jerusalem

sepulchreVisit the Haas Promenade and enjoy a panoramic view from the south of Jerusalem, the Old City walls and the hill called Mount Moriah where Abraham was commanded by God to offer Isaac as a burnt offering (Gen. 22: 2, 4). View the Kidron Valley and the Valley of Gehenna. Stand atop the Mount of Olives as Jesus did and enjoy a remarkable view of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount and Dome of the Rock. Forty days after his resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven from the Mount of Olives (Acts 1: 9 - 12). Visit the Chapel of the Ascension. Pray in the Garden of Gethsemane as Jesus prayed (Matt. 26: 36 - 44). Continue to Mount Zion to visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas where Jesus was imprisoned for a night (Matt. 26: 57 - 65). Day 7: Jerusalem and the Old City

Walk the Cardo, the ancient main street of the Old City once lined with shops, now partially restored. View the Pool of Bethesda (John 5: 1-31) where Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortress where Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate (Luke 23: 1-11). Walk the Via Dolorosa, “the Way of the Cross,” and stand in reverence at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Day 8: Masada –Qumaran- Dead Sea

massadaVisit Masada, Herod’s mountaintop fortress which became the last stronghold of the Jewish Rebellion against the Romans. Ride the cable car to the top to explore. Peer down upon the remains of the Roman camps and siege ramp below. Time permitting, Travel to Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scroll discovery, to discuss the mysterious community of Essenes who once lived on the shores of the Dead Sea , you’ll stop briefly at the Shores of the Dead Sea for a quick dip in the salt and mineral laden waters. Day 6: Masada, Qumran, and Jerusalem

cablecar3After breakfast we start our tour to Masada ascending descending by cable car, you will visit the Northern Palace, the ancient Synagogue and the Fourth Century Church, covering most of the places on the mountain, listening to the history of Masada from your experienced guide. Then visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Bathing in the Dead Sea and then continuing to Jerusalem or Bethlehem. Overnight in Bethlehem.

Day 7: Jerusalem, Dome of The Rock, Jewish Quarter, and the New City

Afternoon we will visit the new city of Jerusalem the Israeli museum and the model on the time of the temple, and then back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Hotels: Accommodation in double, twin, triple or quarto rooms with bath and shower. Single rooms are available with single supplement.

Meals: all programs are based on Half Board (Breakfast & Dinner). Lunches can be arranged upon request.

General Information

Formalities: If you are traveling from the United States or Europe, visa is not required, only a valid passport (for at least six months) is required for entry. Visitors can stay in the country for three months.

Currency: Israeli Shekel and US Dollar are accepted in Palestine and Israel while Jordanian Dinner is accepted only in Palestine and Euros too.  There are licensed money changing offices throughout the country. Money can be also changed at all banks. Most of the Tourist places accept major international credit cards.

Time Differences: Local time is Greenwich Mean Time + 2 hours in winter and Greenwich Mean Time + 3 hours in summer. There is a seven-hour time difference between New York and local time, a two-hour time difference between London and local time and a one-hour time difference between Paris and local time.

Language: Arabic is the official language in Palestine. Hebrew is the official language in Israel. English is widely spoken, while Italian, French and German are spoken to a lesser extend.

Climate: Since the country is located in the Mediterranean it has a temperate sea climate. There are four seasons. Winter is cold and rainy where average temperatures range from 9-18 C. Summer is usually hot and dry where the average temperatures range from 26-32 C. Autumn is pleasant and spring is beautiful. Tourists and pilgrims are required to wear modest dress when visiting holy sites.

Transportation: You can hire a car, with or without a driver, through us in advance or through your hotel. An international driver's license is required. Taxis are both comfortable and widely available. In some areas Taxis do not operate on meters. It is advised to agree on the price before setting off. Shared taxis are also widely used.

Electricity: In the Holy Land a 220-volt system is used.

Telephone: International calls can be made from domestic telephones, including public pay phones available in all tourist areas. Telephone and fax facilities are available at most hotels and Internet Access Point. To call abroad directly, first dial the international access code 00, and then the country code.

The most exiting shopping centers are in Bethlehem.

Day 6: Masada, Qumran, and Jerusalem

cablecar3After breakfast we start our tour to Masada ascending descending by cable car, you will visit the Northern Palace, the ancient Synagogue and the Fourth Century Church, covering most of the places on the mountain, listening to the history of Masada from your experienced guide. Then visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Bathing in the Dead Sea and then continuing to Jerusalem or Bethlehem. Overnight in Bethlehem.

Day 7: Jerusalem, Dome of The Rock, Jewish Quarter, and the New City

DSC 4252After breakfast we will begin our day to the old city of Jerusalem visit the Dom of the rock and Alaqsa mosque going to the walling wall and city of david walking through the Jewish quarter. Afternoon we will visit the new city of Jerusalem the Israeli museum and the model on the time of the temple, and then back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

General Information

Formalities: If you are traveling from the United States or Europe, visa is not required, only a valid passport (for at least six months) is required for entry. Visitors can stay in the country for three months.

Currency: Israeli Shekel and US Dollar are accepted in Palestine and Israel while Jordanian Dinner is accepted only in Palestine and Euros too.  There are licensed money changing offices throughout the country. Money can be also changed at all banks. Most of the Tourist places accept major international credit cards.

Time Differences: Local time is Greenwich Mean Time + 2 hours in winter and Greenwich Mean Time + 3 hours in summer. There is a seven-hour time difference between New York and local time, a two-hour time difference between London and local time and a one-hour time difference between Paris and local time.

Language: Arabic is the official language in Palestine. Hebrew is the official language in Israel. English is widely spoken, while Italian, French and German are spoken to a lesser extend.

Climate: Since the country is located in the Mediterranean it has a temperate sea climate. There are four seasons. Winter is cold and rainy where average temperatures range from 9-18 C. Summer is usually hot and dry where the average temperatures range from 26-32 C. Autumn is pleasant and spring is beautiful. Tourists and pilgrims are required to wear modest dress when visiting holy sites.

Transportation: You can hire a car, with or without a driver, through us in advance or through your hotel. An international driver's license is required. Taxis are both comfortable and widely available. In some areas Taxis do not operate on meters. It is advised to agree on the price before setting off. Shared taxis are also widely used.

Electricity: In the Holy Land a 220-volt system is used.

Telephone: International calls can be made from domestic telephones, including public pay phones available in all tourist areas. Telephone and fax facilities are available at most hotels and Internet Access Point. To call abroad directly, first dial the international access code 00, and then the country code.

The most exiting shopping centers are in Bethlehem.

13 Days - Holy Land, Sinai, and Jordan

Day 1 : Departure to the Holy Land

Day 2 : Arrival to the Holy Land

Day 3 : The Galilee

240px-Sea of Galilee 2008With Bible in hand, cross the waters of the Sea of Galilee aboard a Kinnereth Sailing Company boat. Along the way, participate in a special on board worship service. Travel to Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee. Visit the synagogue which stands on the site where Jesus taught. Recall his teaching and preaching the gospel of the kingdom (Matt.4: 13, 23). At Kibbutz Nof Ginnosar, you’ll learn about the “Ancient Boat”, a rare example of the kind of boat in which Jesus would have sailed. Travel to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus preached to the people (Matt. 5-7). At Tabgha, the traditional location for the calling of the disciples and the feeding of the 5000, you’ll visit the Church of the Fish and the Loaves (Luke 9:10-17). You’ll also visit the Chapel of the Primacy where three times Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21). At the River Jordan you can remember your baptism in the Yardenit Baptismal Site.

Day 4: Tibirias, Nazareth, Megiddo and Caesarea-Back to Tibirias

The afternoon travel through the Jordan valley to Jericho, the oldest and lowest city on earth continue to Jerusalem the first panoramic view then hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 5: Through Jordan Valley to Bet Shaan –Jericho-Bethlehem- First View to Jerusalem

BethlehemChurch3Visit the ruins of Beit Shean which was continuously inhabited for 5000 years and was one of the Roman cities Jesus passed on his way from Galilee to Jerusalem .Travel to Jericho and visit the ruins of the ancient city, which was conquered by Joshua (Josh. 6: 1, 2, 20). From Jericho, you can see the traditional site of the Temptation of Jesus (Matt. 4: 1-11). Even today, the road from Jericho to Jerusalem twists for miles as it climbs from below sea level into the Judean mountains. Jesus traveled the nearby Roman road, the setting of His parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 30-36).. In Bethlehem, you’ll visit the cave revered as the place where Jesus was born (Matt. 1: 18 - 25; Luke 2: 1- 7). The church, which was constructed on the site, is the world’s oldest functioning church. Nearby you’ll view Shepherds’ Field where the Good News was first heard- Drive towards Jerusalem for first panoramic view..

Day 6: Jerusalem

sepulchreVisit the Haas Promenade and enjoy a panoramic view from the south of Jerusalem, the Old City walls and the hill called Mount Moriah where Abraham was commanded by God to offer Isaac as a burnt offering (Gen. 22: 2, 4). View the Kidron Valley and the Valley of Gehenna. Stand atop the Mount of Olives as Jesus did and enjoy a remarkable view of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount and Dome of the Rock. Forty days after his resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven from the Mount of Olives (Acts 1: 9 - 12). Visit the Chapel of the Ascension. Pray in the Garden of Gethsemane as Jesus prayed (Matt. 26: 36 - 44). Continue to Mount Zion to visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas where Jesus was imprisoned for a night (Matt. 26: 57 - 65). Stand in the Upper Room, revered as the place of the Last Supper (Mark 14: 12 - 26). View the site of King David’s Tomb. Visit and worship at the Garden Tomb,

Day 7: Jerusalem and the Old City

DSC 4252Visit the Southern Wall Excavations of the ancient Temple including the Teaching Steps and the Western Wall. Walk the Cardo, the ancient main street of the Old City once lined with shops, now partially restored. View the Pool of Bethesda (John 5: 1-31) where Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortress where Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate (Luke 23: 1-11). Walk the Via Dolorosa, “the Way of the Cross,” and stand in reverence at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Day 8: Masada –Qumaran- Dead Sea

massadaVisit Masada, Herod’s mountaintop fortress which became the last stronghold of the Jewish Rebellion against the Romans. Ride the cable car to the top to explore. Peer down upon the remains of the Roman camps and siege ramp below. Time permitting, Travel to Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scroll discovery, to discuss the mysterious community of Essenes who once lived on the shores of the Dead Sea , you’ll stop briefly at the Shores of the Dead Sea for a quick dip in the salt and mineral laden waters. Day 9: Eilat-Taba Border- Sinai

8 Days in the Holyland

Day 1 : Arrival

Day 2 : Caesarea, Nazareth, Megiddo, and Tiberia

Then travel to Nazareth to visit the church of the Annunciation, then the Synagogue where Jesus stood and read from the Scripture. Then visit Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s spring. Then travel to Cana where Jesus performed his first miracle of transferring the water into wine. The ends of the day visit Megiddo and then travel to Tiberias. Overnight in Tiberias.

Day 3: Tiberia, Sea of Galilee, Jordan valley, Jericho, Jerusalem
